How Kalakumbh Competition Works

Kalakumbh competitions are conducted within school premises under the guidance of principals and art teachers. Schools handle registrations and submissions, while Kalakumbh manages evaluation, results and national level awards.

Step 1: Invitation & Registration

The art teacher reads the Kalakumbh invitation and shares competition details with students. Students choose their competitions (up to 4) and pay the entry fee of As Applicable per competition to the school.

Step 2: Fees & Material Preparation

The school collects all entry forms and fees, uses 15% of the total amount for photocopies and administrative expenses, and prepares / distributes competition sheets to participating students.

Step 3: Conduct Competition in School

Competitions are held only within the school premises under the supervision of teachers. Students complete their artwork / handwriting on the official Kalakumbh sheets and submit them along with the filled entry form.

Step 4: Submit Entries & Get Results

The school sends a single parcel with student list, artwork, entry forms and bank receipt. The remaining 85% fees are transferred to Kalakumbh’s account. Kalakumbh evaluates entries, declares results and sends awards and certificates directly to the school.
