Some Important FAQ's

Kalakumbh Competition – FAQs

A: Students from Nursery to 12th Standard can participate in Kalakumbh. The competitions are divided into different groups such as Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary so that every age group gets a fair platform to showcase their talent.

A: One student can take part in a maximum of 4 competitions from the available categories – Colouring, Sketching, Handwriting, Finger & Thumb Painting and Cartoon / Caricature making. Each competition has a separate entry.

A: The entry fee is As Applicable per student per competition. Schools are allowed to use 15% of the collected amount for photocopy and administrative expenses. The remaining 85% is to be transferred to the Kalakumbh account via NEFT / QR / online payment along with the parcel containing the students’ artworks and entry form.

A: The competition is conducted within the school premises by the school and art teachers on the dates decided by them, within the given timeline. The last date to submit entries is 10 January 2026, and late entries are accepted till 31 January 2026 (no entries after this date will be accepted). All entry forms, student lists, payment details and artwork should be sent in one parcel.

A: Yes, every participant receives a printed participation certificate. In addition, there are exciting National Level prizes for students (such as laptops, tablets, bicycles, cameras and smartphones) and special awards for schools, principals and art teachers based on the number of entries and overall contribution.
